About ME

I am an ethnographic writer, filmmaker, and photographer. I finished my PhD at New York University in fall 2021. Before that I completed degrees at Tisch School of the Arts, as well as Columbia University and the University of Toronto.

My latest short film, Strangers Ourselves (2018), premiered at the Margaret Mead Film Festival in New York, and has since gone to screen at and win awards with Chicago Feminist Film Festival, Ethnografilm, Women’s Voices Now Film Festival, Immigration Film Festival, and San Diego Women’s Film Festival.
